The three receipts on Schedule A, Line 17 of the July Quarterly Report are the repayment by former treasurer Clifford Michael Pickens of the $7,438.74 in committee funds he deposited into an unauthorized account, plus $61.26 reported as reimbursement of filing fees. The committee reported the misappropriation to the Commission on Form 99 on June 2, 2026 (FEC-1981008). He repaid $3,500.00 on June 9, 2026, and $3,938.74 and the $61.26 on June 15, 2026. The committee recovered the full amount. The eight unauthorized disbursements are itemized to Mr. Pickens on Schedule B, Line 29: $4,593.82 on the amended April Quarterly Report (FEC-2015104) and $2,844.92 on the July Quarterly Report (FEC-2015296). The amended April Quarterly Report carries the $4,593.82 as a debt owed to the committee on Schedule D, and the July Quarterly Report shows it repaid. The committee has since refunded all $8,648.00 in contributions to its contributors through ActBlue, as reported on its Termination Report (FEC-2021762), and holds no cash and no debts. After Mr. Pickens repaid in full, the committee did not pursue the complaints or the civil action described in its June 2 Form 99. The committee retains the check images and the repayment records and will provide them on request. The committee is not aware of any uncorrected error or omission on its reports and will promptly file any amendment the Commission identifies. It asks the Commission to approve its termination and will continue to file required reports until notified in writing. Christopher Armitage, Treasurer The Existentialist Republic PAC
